Its February...

At last, it finally came after a month waiting. They were both from eBay and sold at a reasonable price plus free shipping too, quite cheap for my standard. SIXSHOT was about USD$139 while MEGATRON USD$76. Planning to keep them in box for a while. There will a day I definitely open them for display. But for the meantime, I just put them in the storage like the rest.

This was actually a reissue exclusively by TAKARATOMY.

As for MEGATRON, this was a ehobby exclusive collector's edition. The only different between this and the original is its colour scheme. The rest are all the same.

Master Of The Universe Classics: LEECH

My first post for January 2013. Presenting: Master Of The Universe Classics figure - LEECH. This figure was in my ebay watchlist for quite sometime but I never got the chance to get it due to so many temptations of other toys and it was nearly forgotten. Eventually, one member of the FaceBook group that I joined, posted some MOTU figures up for sale and LEECH was in the list. I immediately snatched it without delay. It was sold for a decent price of BND$40.00, totally dead mint in box! which is quite reasonable. Although this figure was more likely a reissue of the vintage LEECH that I used to own, but LEECH is still LEECH. Only this figure got some aesthetics improvement to it with new head sculpt, articulations for the arms and legs and of course, new packaging. However, this new LEECH lost its suction gimmick comparing to the original use to have but he still maintain his vintage appearance and colours.

Welcome 2013

Greetings! It has been quite sometime I have not updated this blog as I'am too commited to FaceBook groups and pages. Anyhow, just for news update: I sold most of the toys I posted here. Yup! Most of them are no longer with me as I need to clear up things and start fresh. I'll definitely need to update my previous posts. There was a saying 'Out with the old, In with the new'. As for 2013, hope for the best. I'am not quitting yet! That's for sure!

Gundam: CB-0000G/C Reborns Gundam

Finally! This is one awesome kit. No stickers used here, just paint with a bit of gundam markers and, as usual, panel lined with enamel. The purple on the head and chest piece was a result of mixing blue and red gundam markers, it turned out to be quite O.K, although a bit dark. However, there are few areas I'am not bother to paint and just skip it.

This suit reflects the pilot; Ribbons Almark, an androgynous appearance of both feminine and masculine. Here, a Gundam with high heels?

Reborns Cannon coversion...extend the shoulders so the head can be lowered down the body and pops out the Cannon's head at the back.

Unfortunately, you have to remove the hands, rotate the arms, the fit in the Cannon's funny looking three fingered hands.

Some neat mechanical feature for the legs, swivel it backwards and the sides extend outwards.

The GN Shield and buster rifle.

The Reborns Cannon mode.

Looks weird from the rear.

Those GN-Fangs are removable.

The only paint job I skipped was on the front skirt. They should be a bit of a light yellow, I did try mixing yellow and white Gundam markers but it turned out uneven. So I left that part out.

Just put everything in reverse to get back to Gundam mode.

Too lazy to paint the saber.

Comparing with the O Gundam.

Randomness For Today...

My next built, Reborns Gundam. Done with the torso, hands and the Reborns Cannon head. Also panel lines with enamel still in progress.

No foil stickers here, just paint with green metallic gundam marker.

Today, I went somewhere on planet earth and visit this local toyshop selling some cheap and more likely, some old and out of production toys, and to my surprise, I found this vintage toy called 'CUPCAKES'. I remember watching it on TV toy commercials during the early 90's and this is no exceptional. Being the only piece on the shelf and with price tag of BND $9.80, I decided to grab it for my daughter and she like it so much. I checked eBay, and its definitely to be a VHTF (Very Hard To Find) item nowadays.

Date of production; 1990!

Cupcakes conversion...No legs here, the petticoat is made up of some stiff rubber-like plastic. So it stands on its petticoat.

Fold the petticoat up...

The big hat as a top filling.

And its now a cupcake. Although Its not edible.

After my daughter done playing with her (sooner or later), you know kids! they tend to lose interest quickly if there's something new, I planned to put it back in its clamshell case and treasure it. For the mean time, I let her enjoying her playtime moment.

Next, this cute POP HEROES Superman vinyl figure from Funko.

Size comparison with a SD Gundam.

There are several 'heroes' and 'villains' to collect. Dare to collect them all?

I guess this goes safely stored with my smurf.
